Expo 2020: H2 Storage Tank from Hamburg to Jebel Ali

The project

For Expo 2020 in Dubai, we organised the loading of a 40-tonne H2 storage tank. The destination of this transport is the port in Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates.

Scope of work:

Delivery in Hamburg via truck
Transhipment to suitable barge
Transhipment onto roll trailer
Loading onto RoRo
Loading onto ship

The shipment to Jebel Ali was handled by our competent partners. We always look forward to a smooth cooperation with our partner companies.

With the RoRo ship Genca (“Roll on Roll off” ship), the journey then went directly to Hanko in Finland, where the roll trailers were unloaded and the track-laying machine was placed in the track to lay tracks so that trains other than track-laying machines could also run on the tracks. The project took six days to complete.
